On the Statistical Studies of Distribution of the ABO Blood Type of the Korean Children

Abstract
|
|
|
The ABO blood Type of 144,461 primary school children(75,541 boys and 68,920 girls) of 61 schools in Seoul City were examined, sept. 1963 through Aug. 1965; as the result, following ABO blood type distribution has been obtained:
1. Their blood type distribution:
A type, 31.96%; B type, 27.17%; AB type, 11.41%; O type, 29.46%; Order A>O>B>AB.
2. the sex difference in blood type distribution:
In male, A type, 30.7%; B type, 26.6%; AB type, 11.7%; O type, 31.1%.
In significant difference was noticed between the two.
3. The biochemical race index of Korean children was 1.12(male 1.11 and female 1.14) in general, and female was a little higher than male; no meaningful difference, however, was noticed.
